Ingredients

  1. 2 lbs dragon meat (For a substitutable option, use lean beef chunks)

  2. 2 tablespoons olive oil

  3. 1 large onion, chopped

  4. 3 cloves garlic, minced

  5. 2 bell peppers (combination of red, orange, or yellow), diced

  6. 1 hot chili pepper, diced (use less if you prefer less heat)

  7. 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste

  8. 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes

  9. 2 cans (15.5 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

  10. 1 cup beef broth

  11. 2 tablespoons chili powder

  12. 1 tablespoon smoked paprika

  13. 1 teaspoon cumin

  14. 1 teaspoon black pepper

  15. 1 teaspoon salt

  16. 1 cup dark beer

Instructions

1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.

2. Add the dragon meat (or beef) to the pot and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.

3. In the same pot, add the chopped onion, garlic, diced bell peppers, and hot chili pepper. Cook until the vegetables are softened.

4. Stir in the tomato paste until the vegetables are coated.

5. Add the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, beef broth, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, black pepper, and salt to the pot. Stir to combine.

6. Return the dragon meat (or beef) to the pot. Stir to combine.

7. Pour in the dark beer. Stir until well mixed.

8. Allow the chili to simmer for about an hour, stirring occasionally.

9. Taste the chili. If necessary, add more salt or spices.

10. Serve hot, and enjoy your Dragonfire Chili, as flavorful as the fire from a dragon's breath.
