Ingredients
1 cup red lentils
4 cups water
2 cinnamon sticks
1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
2 tablespoons ginger, grated
2 Apples
1 Lemon
2 tablespoons honey
6 mint leaves for garnish

Instructions
1. Rinse the red lentils under cold water until the water runs clear.
2. Place the lentils in a large pot and add 4 cups of water.
3. Add the cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and grated ginger to the pot.
4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes, or until the lentils are soft.
5. While the lentils are cooking, juice the apples and lemon and keep it aside.
6. Once the lentils are cooked, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool slightly.
7. Pour the lentil mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl, pressing the lentils to squeeze out all the liquid.
8. Discard the solid spice elements.
9. Add the apple and lemon juice to the strained lentil elixir, stir well to combine.
10. Sweeten the elixir with 2 tablespoons of honey, or to taste.
11. Cool the elixir in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours, or until it's chilled.
12. Pour the Goblin's Goblet Red Lentil Elixir into goblets and garnish each goblet with a fresh mint leaf before serving. Enjoy this magical refreshing beverage.
