Ingredients

  1. 1 kg of lean game meat (grouse or alternative)

  2. 4 Dragon/Habanero peppers

  3. 1 large yellow onion

  4. 6 cloves of garlic

  5. Olive oil

  6. 2 cans of chopped tomatoes

  7. 2 cans of kidney beans

  8. 1 can of root beer

  9. Cumin

  10. Chili powder

  11. Salt and pepper

  12. Fresh coriander

  13. Freshly baked bread

Cooking Utensils

  1. One large pot

  2. Wooden spoon

  3. Chef's knife

  4. Serving bowls

Instructions

1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add chopped grouse and brown thoroughly. Make sure that all sides of the meat have a nice sear.

2. Once the grouse is browned, add the chopped dragon peppers, chopped onion, and finely chopped garlic. Stir well and sauté until the onions are translucent.

3. Add the cans of chopped tomatoes and kidney beans to the pot. Stir well.

4. Pour in the can of Drake root beer, and add the cumin and chili powder. Stir the pot until all ingredients are well mixed.

5. Turn the heat down low and let the chili cook for an hour, or until the grouse meat is tender and fully cooked through.

6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

7. Garnish the bowl with fresh coriander before serving.
